I'm having an issue with Windows 11 settings crashing. I've tried to repair settings and have done an in-place upgrade but still having the same issue. Any ideas?

Actually, I have the same problem and by following the steps below fixed my issue, I know some of these steps are already done, you have just skipped it if you think it will have the same result.

Method 1. Repair Settings and app:

On Powershell(admin), copy and paste the command below:

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

If none will work from the above solution I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Windows 11 update crashes settings

I just tried your suggestion. Settings app continues to crash when Optional Updates are selected or Configuration Policies are selected. I do not see any changes in the behavior of these two selections in Windows 11.

Sound card amplification settings

Yeah unfortunately ASUS and Realtek are not stepping up and fixing this it seems. Wherever I see such problems mentioned on forums some users are suggesting just uninstalling the Realtek driver and using the Windows audio driver.
