Windows 10: I'm having issues with getting Virus and threat protection to open even after doing this

Enter the Registry by clicking "Start" and type "regedit". Select "Run as Administrator".In the Registry Editor, navigate through the following branch.Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Policy ManagerIn Policy Manager there should only be Default, in W10 Home. Any other information here,indicates the presence of "Policies". NOTE: If you have W10 Pro, there is a policy that youcan set to overcome this problem. Virus and Threat Protection Issue

When looking to run a virus scan on my computer, I'm met with an error that says "Virus and Threat Protection is Managed by your Organization." THis is a personal laptop though. Any suggestions?

As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently

"Your Virus & Threat Protection is Managed by your Organization" message is displayed in red when i open virus and threat protection in windows defender please help me resolve this problem also i do not have any other antivirus program on my laptop.
