Windows 10: I'm having problems updating my pc to version 22h2

when I click update it goes through the lengthly process of installing and restarting, but it stays on the same version. I tried the windows update assistant and tried updating from settings. My pc is version 1909 and OS build is 18363. 1556 and I'm on windows 10 Pro now. Windows update assistant also said that I have all the right parts in order for this update to commence so I am not missing any requirements. I'm completely stumped and do not know what to do.

I wish things are that simple. My error code was 0x80246017, and I don't have KB5020435 installed so it's a dead end. BTW, MS lists like 6 or 7 error codes of the format 0x8024xxxx on the "troubleshooting WU problems", and when you chose next step, it suggests generic steps: run WU troubleshooter, check if your disk has no errors, is your remote disk is accessible, etc. Same as MS community; each similar error has completely different cause and (re)solution. MS in notorious for this- if it works then OK, if it doesn't then good luck.

 

Windows Version 22H2 does not show in my updates

I installed the Version 22H2 update, and while I did not get any errors, I think it did not install. I do not have tabs in Windows Explorer, and Version 22H2 does not appear in Update History. I would try again but Version 22H2 not longer appears as an available update.

Any suggestions?
