Windows 10: I’m having serious trouble with trying to sign into microsoft

Hello! I know it’s silly for me to ask this, but I’m genuinely so frustrated and it seems like the internet doesn’t know either. I recently bought a new gaming laptop, and I’m trying to sign into my Microsoft account, the only issue is that whenever I try to, it just says “something went wrong” with no error number, just “something went wrong” with no way to fix this. If I try to sign into through the web, my computer won’t even bring up the page, just a long series of codes saying “this site cannot be reached” I’ve reset my WiFi many times, restarted my laptop many times, and even went to Red

Yes I can login through the browser. And my windows in up to date. I will try the other steps and let you know. I should add that the same issue is there for my work account as well as my personal account.

system, I would suggest you to follow the steps below:

1. Open Settings (Windows key + I).
   
2. Then click on Accounts.
   
3. Then click on Sign-in Options.
   
4. Under Windows Hello
   , you’ll see options for face, fingerprint, or iris if your PC has a fingerprint reader or a camera that supports it. Once you’re set up, you’ll be able to sign in with a quick swipe or glance.
