Windows 10: I'm having sign in issues with my hotmail.co.uk e-mail account

Yes, I know hotmail is technically obsolete now, but its what I am still using as it is attached to numerous other accounts that I have been using for years now.Anyway, hello! :-I had some problems in May relating to my account not synchronising. I think this was due to my storage capacity given an apparent change with how Microsoft counted your OneDrive space and your e-mail attachments, that seems to have sorted itself out now, and I am keeping my attachments and OneDrive files in better check going forward. Is there hope for me to have a safe Microsoft e-mail account?

Do you think Yahoo is safer than Hotmail ? well the last news of Yahoo don't say so !
I have Hotmail about 10 years and I never had a problem with it .

As suggested, I do have a few e-mail addresses.

• My primary address is only given out to legitimate known contacts and I have no problem with junk mail.
• A secondary e-mail (Hotmail) is given out when I want to buy something on line and I want replies but I don't want to risk my primary address. This is the one that is giving me grief since it does get legitimate replies (and the junk).
• A third e-mail that I give out when some web site needs an a-mail address to register and I don't really think it is necessary. I totally ignore e-mail in this account.

This strategy has worked for me for a number of years. However, this "icu.com" domain is a new development and it is a pain in the a$$. I may abandon the Hotmail address and establish a new secondary account. That will probably work for a short while.

 

E72 - Hotmail Account not working

Please be advised that the Nokia Messaging email platform is currently experiencing an issue with Windows Live Hotmail accounts. The problem is that Hotmail email stops synchronzing to the Nokia device. To fix this issue, users need to re-supply their
Hotmail password within the Nokia Messaging client on the Nokia device. An email with resolution instructions has been sent to all affected Hotmail users for this issue. Resolution instructions are listed below:

For Nokia S60 5.0 touch screen devices (X6, N97, N97 mini, 5800, 5530 and 5230), perform the following steps:

• Start the E-mail client.
• Select Options.
• Select Tools.
• Select Settings.
• Select the Windows Live Hotmail mailbox.
• Select Password.
• Enter in the Hotmail password.

For Nokia S60 V3.2 devices (C5, E52, E55, E72, E75, 6710, 6730 and N86 8MP), perform the following steps:

• Start the E-mail client.
• Select Options.
• Select Settings.
• Select Mailbox settings.
• Select the Windows Live Hotmail mailbox.
• Select Password.
• Enter in the Hotmail password.

For the Maemo (N900) Nokia device, perform the following steps:

• Start the E-mail client.
• Select Edit accounts.
• Select Nokia Messaging.
• Select Mailboxes.
• Select Edit Windows Live Hotmail.
• Select Password.
• Enter in the Hotmail password.

For all other Nokia S60 devices, perform the following steps:

• Start the E-mail client.
• Select Settings.
• Select the Windows Live Hotmail mailbox.
• Select Password.
• Enter in the Hotmail password.
