Im having trouble activating windows 10 after hardware change.

Hi all! So a couple days ago i upgraded the motherboard and cpu on my computer, did a clean install of windows and realized that the windows 10 i had before the upgrade was the "education" version and i couldnt use it on this copy of windows. So i accepted the fact and bought a new windows 10/11 license directly from microsoft. Although windows still didnt activate. When i trouble shoot the activation i get this:i am 100% connected to the internet through ethernet. When i click "i recently changed hardware on this device" i get: well im definately signed in with the account that i purchased it

    :)

  3. Activation troubles after hardware chnage

    Here's what happened:

    • Linked my Windows 10 Pro Licence to my Microsoft account.
    • Switched out to a new motherboard, new install linked to my Microsoft account.
    • Activation has failed, (Error Code: 0xC004C003) when I try to troubleshoot:
    • Have been trying for 3 days now - still not activated.
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions on what I can do?

    Thanks

    windows activation—hardware changed siginficantly

From time to time on my thoroughbred PC, I get a Windows activation message that says my hardware changed siginificantly and I have to re-activate Windows. My hardware hasn't changed any more than a network card (went from a wireless g card to onboard lan to a wired network card), and the install is legit. Why is it doing this, and how can I stop it?
