Windows 10: I'm having trouble setting up dual monitors.

So I am trying to set up dual monitors one being my pc's current monitor and the other being a T.V. My pc doesn't have two HDMI ports so I am using an HDMI splitter but my PC cant detect a second monitor so it is just using both to displaying the same thing which I do not want. I want both monitors to be displaying two different things. This site wont let me upload my screenshot so the model of splitter I'm using is the YOUREN 1x2 splitter.

Trouble with 2 monitors

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

Usually, you will receive an error when connecting external monitor when the cable is not connected properly. I would suggest you to follow the suggestions mentioned in the article

set up dual monitors

unable to set up dual monitors in Windows 10. Using GEForce 7050GT 512MB PCIE in Windows 7 duals worked Fine .After upgrade doesn't work. Any suggestions
