Windows 10: I'm locked out of my account and can't do anything about it

Today I have tried to access my Microsoft account only to come across the message: "Sign in is blocked""You have tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password."I have reset my password and still nothing worked, plus I had no options for any security code. My biggest issue is that recently Java Minecraft has been bought by Microsoft. This means I need my Microsoft account every time in order to access and make changes in the settings for my Minecraft account. In the Minecraft launcher, logging in and out was okay as I was able to log back in with my old acount. Thanks

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Admin account locked

My admin account is locked don,t know how to unlock but have a standard user to login please suggest can I do something from normal user to unlock the admin account.

1. Are you using a Microsoft account or a local account?
   
2. Which version of Windows 10 you are using currently?
   
3. Is the other user account an admin account?
   

I suggest you to try using the on screen keyboard at the login page and check if you are able to login to the PC.

1. At the login screen click on the
   ease of access icon at the bottom right hand corner.
   
2. Click on the on screen keyboard to open it.
   
3. Type the password and try to login.
   

If you are using a Microsoft account, I suggest you to refer the article on

how to reset your Microsoft account password.



However, if you are using a local account, then I suggest you to refer the article on

reset your Windows 10 local account password.



Note: While performing these steps, there might be a risk of data loss. You may take a backup of the data before performing the steps.
