Windows 10: I'm locked out of my Dell laptop. Windows 11. Can someone help, please?

Hello, I'm locked out of my Dell laptop, Windows 11. Can't remember the pin. It did send me a text to verify that it was me. I entered the numbers and was asked if I'd like to reset the PIN. I said yes and the machine shut down. Now just a black screen. No response from the power button.

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


Hello everyone,
My laptop's touchpad works and I don't want it to, because I prefer a mouse. It's a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series on windows 10 OS.

What I have tried that hasn't worked:

• start<settings<devices<mouse & touchpad<additional mouse options. This opens a window called Mouse Options which has 5 tabs up top, none of which involve the touchpad. The Hardware tab shows 2 devices: the mouse itself, and the USB. No touchpad there.
• windows key+x<mobility center. No touchpad to be found.
• various function keys. No options for touchpad on/off.
• device manager<mice and other pointing devices. Again, only the mouse and usb show up. It appears the touchpad is working without a driver, which is a little spooky.

Any other suggestions? I could try downloading a third party driver, but that seems like a step in the wrong direction.

Windows 11 Dell laptop

Using the Print Screen Key in Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8

• To capture the entire screen:
  Press the Windows logo key + PrntScrn key together.
  On tablets, press the Windows logo button + the volume down button together. (The screenshot is saved in the Screenshots folder in the Pictures folder.)
  

• To capture all active windows:
  Press the PrntScrn key.
  

• To capture a single active window:
  Tap or click on the window you want to capture.
  Press the Alt + PrntScrn keys together.
  

Fine but Pictures > Screen Shots does not exit on either of my two DEll Windows 11 laptops; where else could screen shots be stored?

 

Dell laptop not sleeping - what is DHCPv6ReSolicit activator?

I am having problems with my Dell laptop not sleeping. It is running Windows 11 22000.466. I ran SleepStudy a few times recently and a top offender is DHCPv6ReSolicit. I tried googling this term and it brings back near zero results. Any suggestions where to go from here?

Of course I have tried all of the standard steps:

• Run Windows Update
  
• Check for updates from Dell
  
• Run the Windows Power Troubleshooter
  

I would be happy to share more information, just let me know what else would be helpful.
