what does Checking for error 1500 - missing appdata registry key Checking for error 1501 - mismatch between registry and GM asset location mean?. can someone please explain this to me? im also having issues updating from windows 7 to 10. my pc is also like ridiculously slow especially during powerup. i also for some reason cant figure out how to change my desktop background. i went into display settings and theres nothing there for desktop settings its very strange.

Japanese IME - How to have menus in English?

The default display language for the Microsoft IME is "Automatic", and occasionally it decides for whatever reason to change from English to Japanese or vice versa.
At any rate, you can correct the issue without removing any language packs via the following steps. I'm going to assume that your Windows display language is in English, but your IME is set to display in Japanese.

1. Navigate thus: Control Panel -> Region & Language -> Keyboards &
   Languages -> Change Keyboards
   
2. Highlight "Microsoft IME" under the Japanese (Japan) keyboard section of the "Installed services" list
   
3. Select "Properties"
   
4. Under the ""全股" tab, you will see an option at the bottom "メニューおよびダイアログで使用する言語" which is the IME display language option. Change this to "英語" (English) and save your changes (the buttons are in the same order as they are in the English UI, "Okay", "Cancel", "Apply", and "Help".
   

The next time you reopen the IME in the language bar, it should display in English.

 

im having issue on installing app from microsoft store

Im having issue installing apps on my pc from microsoft store i tired suggested step from microsoft website like cmd ,powershell and setting my update to automatic but still im getting this issue

 

Windows 10: Japanese IME Not Working

Windows Current Version: Windows 10, 1909 18363.592

The Japanese IME used to work and now it doesn't. It had stopped working a few OS versions back. I have tried reinstalling by removing the Japanese language pack and installing back again. When I select (winkey+space), I see the IME icon, but the method (A) is missing.

I have removed all the language packs inside the IME folder and tried to install the Japanese again. Windows says it has successfully installed the language pack; however, when I look inside the IME folder, all I see is the English pack. Another thing I had tried is to copy and paste an existing IME folder from a different Windows 10 pc , but that doesn't work either.

I think the issue is that IME isn't fully installed even though it doesn't give me an error when I install it.
