Windows 10: I'm playing a game then my monitor will randomly shut off but I can still hear sound

I will be playing a game for maybe 20 minutes and then randomly my monitors shut off showing "no signal" but I can still hear the audio from a video on my monitors and from the game I'm playing. I'm not sure if this is a gpu issue or if its a temperature issue. This only happens with certain games.

To assist you better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• When will the sound disable, when playing through main monitor or the extended monitor?
• Did you try enabling the sound from the sound drivers and check if it helps?
• Since from when are you facing this issue?

This issue causes because the monitor automatically takes the HDMI sound as the Default input. Disable and enable the speakers and check if it helps.

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

• Right click on the volume control and then
  Properties,
• When you connect the HDMI it becomes the default output device, even though it has no speakers.
• You need to change this back to "Speakers" and set as default.

Win 10 monitor shut off

I will be using my computer and my monitor will randomly shut off, I have the sleep/power save options turned off. I'm not hitting the sleep button, because I can still hear my music or games playing sound. When it did it while I was playing wow I could
still hear myself running around, and what not so I know it was JUST the screen. I've been shutting off the computer when it does this and when I start it back up most of the times it fixes the problem. However there have been times I've started or restarted
it and the boot screen comes up then it will again go black. Now I dont mean black like the light is on but its displaying a black screen, I mean black as in no light what-so-ever. I've done everything except a clean boot (which has a laundry list of reasons
why I haven't starting with I dont know how to even make the installation thumb drive.) Now my computer has only been doing this since I got the technical preview of win 10 through the insider program. I've check the drivers and all that everything seems
to be fine. So any suggestions/help?
