  1. I'm pulling my last bit of hair out over randomly minimizing full-screen applications

Hi there! I'd like to preface this post by apologizing if I missed a fix for this when I was skimming the sub, but I've been googling it for days, for an issue I've been having since I got my new PC.

Every hour or so, a command promp window pops up for like a frame, and if I'm running a full-screen application, it will minimize to desktop. I've tried quite a few fixes that were on Google, but none of them have proven to be a success.

    I've tried:

-running malware scans with malwarebytes and windows defender. Nothing found -turned off action center notifications -updating my gpu drivers (constantly) -turned off game mode -enabled Taskbar on all monitors -disabled the windows error report manager -disabled the Microsoft office updates checker in the task scheduler

Has anyone found a specific fix for this? I remember having this issue on my old pc and I can't for the life of me remember how to fix it. Thank you for your time.

  3. If you have several minimized applications [which were NOT minimized with the Windows logo key +M], then the Windows logo key +Shift+M will not restore all the minimized applications.

    <Original title:
    Keyboard shortcut bug>

    Windows logo key
I'm pulling my last bit of hair out over randomly minimizing full-screen applications [IMG]
    +Shift+M does not work consistently.

If you have several minimized applications [which were
NOT minimized with the Windows logo key
I'm pulling my last bit of hair out over randomly minimizing full-screen applications [IMG]
    +M],
    then the Windows logo key
I'm pulling my last bit of hair out over randomly minimizing full-screen applications [IMG]
+Shift+M will not restore all the minimized applications
    (as per the documentation).

In other words, Windows logo key
I'm pulling my last bit of hair out over randomly minimizing full-screen applications [IMG]
    +Shift+M ONLY works if
you had previously used Windows logo key
I'm pulling my last bit of hair out over randomly minimizing full-screen applications [IMG]
    +M.

It seems to me that Windows logo key
I'm pulling my last bit of hair out over randomly minimizing full-screen applications [IMG]
    +Shift+M should restore
ALL minimized applications, no matter how they were minimized.

Another problem exists when minimizing using Windows Logo + down arrow, the mazimizing using Windows logo + Up arrow. This ONLY works if you
DON'T let go of the Windows Logo key between these shortcuts.

I suppose these were designed the way these shortcuts work now. But they could use improvement...

Someone in MS software QC should check all shortcut functionality.

    Windows 10 Applications Randomly Minimizing.

    Hi,

There are several factors that may have caused the games to crash when you are playing them on your PC. It is possible that the graphics card is outdated or there is a malware or virus that causes the game files to corrupt. To properly isolate your concern,
please provide us the following information:

    • Does the issue occur to all the games and apps installed on your computer?
    • Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve the issue?
    • Have you tried to update the graphics card drivers on your PC?

In the meantime, you may click on this link for the steps to perform
a clean boot. This process will start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10.
