Windows 10: I'm receiving compromising text messages and I can't delete them!!! We need a delete...

I'm receiving compromising text messages and I can't delete them!!! We need a delete button!!! These messages don't even show up on my phone!!!! HELP!!!! We need a separate APP THAT ALLOWS US TO MESSAGING INFO THAT IS CONNECTED TO PHONE LINK, BUT SEPARATE! SO WE HAVE BETTER CONTROL OVER OUR MESSAGES!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE NOT TO THINK OF THAT.

Cannot delete a received text message

I received a text message last May (from a friend!) on my Nokia 6124.I had forgotten that I could not delete it.I think this stopped the text reading function on my Bury CC9060 from working.



I am in the process of changing phone contract and with my new contract have a Nokia N86 8MP.I had forgotten about the text problem and used the Switch application to transfer the contents. The problem text is now in the inbox of my new phone. I have used
both Nokia PC suite and OVI on my laptop to delete this text but it comes back after syncing with the phone.



When I try deleting direct from the phone I get the message "General: Already in use" with a big red ! to the right of this message.



Can anyone help me get rid of this (I assume ordinary) text from my phone once and for all.

Recover text messages deleted by Lumia?

Thank you for your suggestion. I did use that app since my phone deleted 2 months of text messages (as mentioned in my previous message).

But still, I find it weird that:

• we don't have a clear access to our data, only a 3rd party app allows us to back it up
• there is no "undo", no "trash": a delete seems immediate and definitive: it's certainly not the way of the cloud (where you often have a grace period to retrieve what was deleted)

Anyway, although I enjoyed Windows 10 Mobile for a lot of things, the way text messages are handled is clearly not one of them, especially since the push for Skype integration, although it is clearly buggy as hell (whereas the built-in messaging app would
have been perfect to sync between PC and mobile).

 

Explanations for deleted posts?

there wont be a feature that shows your deleted stuff. if you get an infraction/warning a mod can include a more elaborate message what you did wrong.

if you could see who deleted and why we would have more drama threads about how people feel they get singled out by mods, or how the deletion was unjustified etc.

if it was deleted it was deleted for a reason.

if you need to get the post text back because it contains the only copy of your secret formula to turn toilet papers into dollars, contact a supermod/admin
