Windows 10: I'm running Windows 10, accidentally deleted a file while saving in Explorer. Must have...

while trying to save a PDF I accidentally deleted the folder I was trying to save doc to. Now I can't find them. I'm running a Windows 10, converting public PDF to file folder kept in Explorer. I've tried to search Outlook and Windows 10 but can't find them. Any advice?Charles Randall1.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Files Deleted During Failed Windows Update

If you saved your video projects, they should be on the drive (barring any file system corruption). You can give Recuva a try:

Download the portable version on another PC, unpack it on a flash drive, pop the drive in the trouble machine, and run it off the flash drive. You want to make as few changes to the hard drive as possible before running the recovery program.

 

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.
