    I'm so very tired of updates causing critical problems.


    I'm getting really, really frustrated with these non- optional updates rendering my devices unusable.In my first encounter with this, the system processes that allocates background resources got so unaccountably greedy that my laptop would sporadically become unusably slow and dangerously hot. Next, an update caused a lock screen issue, so that after the password was entered the password field disappeared but the lock screen remained-- making it impossible to log in.After that, an update installed a bad video driver, and I could only boot in recovery mode. It was so frustrating that I switched
