Windows 10: I'm still on Win 10 Home and qualify for the free upgrade to Win 11 but I hear 11 has so...

Question 1: My almost 2 years old laptop is a core i5 11th gen and is still on Win 10 Home and qualifies for the free upgrade to Win 11 but I hear 11 has so many bugs and issues. Does anyone hear advise that I should upgrade to 11?Question 2: My Desktop is a core i5 7th7400, 3ghz gen and doesn't qualify based on the cpu generation only, but it passes all the other criteria. At the time Win 11 came out, my desktop pc was only 3 years old. Not sure why the upgrade cut off was set at 8th generation. I've heard some people ignoring Microsoft's warning and going ahead with an upgrade anyway. Do

I suggest you do a drive image backup of your current win 10 drive. I had some issues with Win 11 and I roll back using the Win10 image. As you don't have a Win 11 supported CPU, you have to tweak the Win 11 installation files. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be getting new MB and CPU when I move to Win11. And I always do system volume image backups after I successfully update Windows so no problem there *Smile. Cheers!
