Windows 10: I'm suffering from issues with Sounds, Administrative .exe clicking, and the search bar...

These problems are making me pull out my hair!It started when I noticed that no sound was playing from the Discord App when watching videos and such. as well as the fact that there's no sound playing from a majority of my Steam games. Only Sea of Thieves and Virtual College play sound, but everything else, there's nothing!I tried checking Volume Mixer, but the clients for Discord or the games just don't show up. I also tried running troubleshooters and Verifying Game caches, but that didn't do anything either.I also ran into two new problems while looking for a solution to this other one:1. My

Sound problem

Hi,

We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest running the Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

• Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Select Playing Audio under Sound.
• Follow the steps that will be provided.

If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.

Search Bar/Cortana

From the description, I understand that you are still receiving the pop up notifications, despite having disabled the search functionality in windows 10.

Steps to disable the Search Bar

• Right click on the task bar.
• Select the "Search" option.
• Select "Disable."

However, if the above steps don't work out, perform the below suggested steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Open a CMD window started as Administrator.

Repair corruption: Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.

Run this command next: Sfc /scannow

Now run these two commands:

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Unable to search files using Windows search bar

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Let me help you to fix the issue.

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. I would recommend you to run
search and indexing troubleshooter.

• 
  Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Type Troubleshooting on the search bar on the Control Panel.
  
• 
  Type indexing on the search bar and click on click on
  search and indexing.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced on the search and indexing dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).
  
• 
  Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the
  search and indexing troubleshooter.
