Hello,Long story short, I know cloning a hard drive is possible, I just want to know if the OS will act up funny if I do something it doesnt like I would hate to repurchase a license. So any tips? I'm going from a HDD to a SSD for better performance. Any comments would be appreciateded

    :)

64Gb SSD for OS or 2Tb HDD for storage ?!

I suggest that you get the 2tb for storage. SSDs are only useful if you want to boot things fast like OS and programs. I actually suggest you get both if you have that many movies.

  3. Is it possible to move the OS from SSD to HDD ?

    hi

i'm thinking of adding an ssd to my computer but i don't want to format the OS since it's tiring to re-add my emails and other stuff, so i wanted to know is it possible to move the OS from SSD to HDD without reinstalling the window?

I'm thinking of switching my storage to a SSD, is that possible with the OS?

    Storage switch and OS stuff

So a coworker wants to plop an SSD in his laptop before Win10 comes out so he can switch over. I figured two ways to get the OS onto the new drive.

Copy everything over from the HDD to the SSD using my desktop.

Call up Microsoft and see if we can activate via phone after using an .iso OS install.

Which would work better or any other ways to do this?
