Windows 10: I'm trying to activate an Office 2016 and the activation phone will not do it. I can't get...

I'm trying to activate an Office 2016 and the activation phone will not do it. I can't get a real person on the line and the online service gives me no options. Any suggestions?

Activate office 2016 on new harddrive

Yes, that is probably what is happening, another possible explanation is there was a pre-existing Office 365 trial version on that hard drive . . .

Open a new document in Word, go to File - Account

What Office licence(s) do you see listed there, is there one or two?

If there is only one (your Office 2016), then please try the steps on this page, to get your Office 2016 activated:

Use this tool from Microsoft to remove all remnants of all previous Office Installations:

Restart (not shut down) your PC . . .

Go to Login | Microsoft 365 and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in

Then from that page, locate your Office 2016 licence and click Install . . .

 

MS Office 2007 no more activated...

I contacted a support manager and the situation is:

1. With all my hardware modifications, I reached the limit number of activation (8).
2. Microsoft is no more capable to force a new activation.
3. They suggested me to uninstall and reinstall Office in order to redo an activation.

This last point is not good for me because of the time required, specially with the online updates.
May be, I have only to delete the product key into the registry but Microsoft is not able to confirm.
Do you have an idea before I try to crack it?

 

Office 2016 does not activate

We can view if the Office 2016 is activated:

1.First create a new Word document on the desktop.

2.Double-click the document to open it.

3.Click on the file in the top left corner of the document.

4.The account selected in the drop-down menu.

5.At this point, you can see if your version of Office is active on the right side.





The following is troubleshoot ways:

If the office 2016 is activated, we try to reinstalled it, and reactivate it.

If there is still a problem after reactivation, there may be a problem with the activation key.
