Windows 10: I'm trying to change the virtual memory and the change button in advanced is grayed out....

The change button is grayed out when i try to add virtual memory in the advanced section. How do I change that?

What values should I keep in my virtual memory in Windows 10. I have 8GB of RAM.

When I open the advanced settings it says on Windows C- I have available 43970(grayed out)

Then below it says

Total paging file size for all drives:

Minimum allowed-- 16MB

recommended-- 1897 MB

Currently allocated---7424 MB

Should I change them to Minimum- 12288

And change the Max to 24576

Not sure what exact numbers I should put in or is it good the way it is? Please advise.

Click your Start Button, then just type advanced settings settings

And open the 'Advanced System Settings utility.

.On the resulting dialog, click the Settings button in the Performance section

On the next dialog, select the 'Advanced' tab

Click the 'Change' button in the virtual Memory section.

Please provide a screenshot of the Virtual Memory section.

Click your Start Button, then just type system Restore

On the resulting list, open the System Restore utility

Select your C drive in the resulting utility and click the 'Configure' button

Please provide a screenshot of the resulting dialog.

 

Why the virtual memory can't change?

Hello, I try to change the virtual memory of my laptop but It can't change. It only had 16 mb virtual memory no matter how many time I changed the number. Does it need a permission or something? The proccesor used was intel core i3 11th gen with 4 gb DDR4 memory. Thank you
