Windows 10: Im trying to format my usb with music on it through an application but it keeps coming up...

Im trying to format my usb with music on it to fat 32 through an application but it keeps coming up with the process cannot access file becasue its being used by abither process so i ended the file explorer task which showeed the usb tried ti firmat it again and it stilk aint working

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

USB Flash Drive saying not formatted..?

Hi,

I have a Memorex Poker Chip USB Flash Drive 1GB, and It shows up fine on one PC as "Poker Chip" in explore, and I can transfer files... but on my other PC (the one I'm on now..specs in profile) it's listed only as H: Removable Disk, and when I click on it, it says: "The Device is not formatted, would you like to format it now? (Y/N). Why would it be recognized on one PC, but the not the other? How come the other PC didn't need it formatted? When I click yes to format it, it says: "Windows was unable to complete the format"

I went to the BIOS and USB 2.0 is enabled. And Device Manager does list it as a Memorex Poker Chip..

 

Comes With Music

initially, you need to have the activation PIN for your comes with music device in order for you to register your device, you also need to connect your phone using USB cable into your PC.



You can follow these steps in registering to Comes with Music service:



[*]Go to music.ovi.com and click the link to download the
Nokia Ovi Player.
[*]Click Save and select a location in which to save the file.

[*]Once downloaded, Double click the file to run it.

[*]Choose your langage and then Accept the EULA by clicking Yes.

[*]Ensure the selection is checked in the select software' window and click Install.

[*]The Nokia Music application will be installed on your PC. Click Finish and restart your computer if prompted.

[*]Once installed, launch the Nokia Music application and complete the customization questions.

[*]Click the Join Comes with Music button.

[*]Attach your mobile device to your PC using your USB data cable, Cancel any windows dialog boxes that appear [if applicable].

[*] From your device, choose Media player or printing & media mode depeding on the model.

[*]Click the Continue button. Complete the registration for Comes with Music or sign in with your existing Nokia Music account and choose the upgrade option.

[*]Enter your Comes with Music Activation PIN from your voucher and click Continue

[*]You should receive a welcome email containing your user name and can start downloading music using the application at this point.
