Windows 10: I'm trying to move my photos from my C drive to D drive but don't know how to select the D...

Trying to move my photos app or at least its contents from C-D drive but none of the advice helps. How do I indicate the target location, simply clicking on the D drive does not work? Help!

thankyou so much for replying,so you've answered one question for me,about the app.

Unfortunately for me,I have been changing the settings on the app,in my confusion,I added c/and d destination.

All I know is when I've imported photo's over the years,I cannot guarantee,if their in c or d drive.

Should I just try and transfer all pictures on c and d drives ?

I did not choose to have drive's like this,I bought a Dell laptop which dies after a month,and Dell matched the specs and gave me this,I will never again have drives like this.

please be kind, I am 64 years old,I've had laptops for years,but I know nothing about them,apart from switching on and off.

So if anybody is kind enough to help me ,please reply in real easy terms.

I will try to explain my issue the best I can.

laptop has c and d drive,I have a lot of photo's which I transferred many times with each new laptop,my current laptop may need replacing soon,I am trying to transfer all the photos showing in the photo app to an external drive,when I look at c/drive,I can't see all the photo's and the same when I look at d/drive,so when I upload photo's from my phone to the laptop,do they go to c or d drive ?, and is there a way I can transfer the photo app,because I can see them all there.

Sorry if I've confused you all,I'm very confused myself.

Anything I know has been self-taught, so it's poor knowledge.

• Type Command prompt in the search bar.
• Type-in the following command:
  
  attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
• Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

• Click on the File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
• Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
• Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.
