Windows 10: i'm trying to perform a repair install for my windows 11 pc but i can't mount the iso file

my pc is having a lot of problem so i tried to repair install my windows, but when i try to mount the iso file it didn't respond, a windows pop up after a few minutes said "Sorry, There Was a Problem Mounting the File". i tried every methods i could find on the internet but none works. please help, i don't want to reset my computer.

Error when mounting ISO files

I understand when you are trying to delete/rename/move the ISO files after mounting it you get an error message. It could be possible that the ISO file is mounted and that is the reason you are unable to modify it.



I suggest you to eject the ISO file and then try to modify it. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + E, to open
   File Explorer.
   
2. Click on This PC on the left pane, you will find the mounted ISO file.
   
3. Right click on the ISO file and click on Eject. Try modifying the ISO file now.

• What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Have you tried mounting the ISO files on another computer?
• Have you tried copying the ISO file to your desktop and mount it from there?
• Do you have a CD/DVD drive installed on your computer?

Windows 10 Mount Iso

I would like to help you, When you right click an ISO file and Mount does not show at top of list the the file association is wrong.

Click on Open With and you need to make Windows Explorer the default.

After that the Mount choice will be there.
