Windows 10: I'm trying to reinstall Windows 11 from Ubuntu via the UEFI boot screen, but I get an error...

I also asked this on Ubuntu forums, and was told that this was a Windows problem, not an Ubuntu problem, so I'm asking here as well.I tried reinstalling Windows 11 using a .iso file, but when I do so, I get the following error:"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. Can't reinstall Windows 11 on ASUS Zenbook after installing Ubuntu

I recently did a clean install of Ubuntu 22.04.3 onto my new ASUS Zenbook (Q420V) which erased Windows 11. I later realized that I needed to reinstall Windows 11, so I created a boot disk using the Windows Media Creation tool and was able to get thru the first few steps in setup until getting stuck at "Custom: Install Windows only" as there were no drives listed to install Windows. I'm not sure if installing Ubuntu changed some configurations on my laptop but I've tried disabling Secure boot and Fast boot, creating a win 10 boot disk, reinstalling Ubuntu, creating a partition of my SSD in FAT32, repairing the boot of the computer (Boot Repair) and nothing has worked. Please help. Thank you.

I can't help but agree with the disliking of the boot menu showing older versions of Ubuntu -I always hated seeing a bunch of Ubuntu OSes with the "other operating systems" (Windows for my triple boot) at the bottom of the list -I had to press the down key about 12 times to get to Windows!

 

Trouble installing windows 7 on RAID in UEFI

As the title says, I'm trying to install Windows on a RAID array in uefi on my Maximus V Formula. When using legacy ROM I can install just fine but I go into CSM and change settings to UEFI only, I can build the array in the UEFI Raid driver (IRST tab in "BIOS") but the array does not show up in the boot menu and when I try to install windows (boot from UEFI DVD drive), The drive does not show up in the Windows install. The next thing I tried was to enable UEFI and legacy oprom in CSM, boot from UEFI DVD drive and install to the RAID array (probably detected by legacy oprom) and it will install. After first reboot, Windows Boot manager will show up as an option in the BIOS boot menu so I set that as first boot device and reboot. I will get to the starting windows screen and then BSOD (too quick to get codes) The last thing I tried was Changing to legacy mode and installing windows to a different drive. once installed, I initialized the Raid array as GPT and rebooted, changed csm back to UEFI only but they RAID array still doesn't show in the boot device list so I repeated the earlier process hoping that It might work because I had initialized as GPT but it still BSODs on starting windows screen. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
