    Hi,I am trying to repair my system files, but SFC was unable to, so I tried DISM.DISM showed an error: 0x800f081f, the source files could not be found. I tried doing some research, and could not find a solution.Could someone help me out?Thanks

    Corrupted file RAR

    If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
    I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

    Trying to use DISM to restore system file, but I keep being told the source files could not be found

    I've spent much of the day trying to repair my system files after a driver install attempt seemed to corrupt a dll file. I've found numerous links suggesting to run the DISM command after downloading and expanding the Windows 10 ISO file, which I did.
    I've run this repeatedly:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:F:\sources\install.wim

    And I just keep getting told that the source files could not be found, even though the install.wim file is clearly there. Any suggestions?

    Corrupt files not repaired by DISM

    Hi,

    I have used DISM to check health of my system, Windows 10 Home Version 21H1

    Installed on ‎02-‎Sep-‎20 OS build 19043.1288

    It reports some files corrupt but can be repaired, scannow reports the same. But attempts to use DISM to repair files fails using either online repair or source files. I suspect that Group Policy Editor is denying access for these repairs to take place but GPE is not supported in Win 10. How can I correct this please ?
