Discus and support I'm trying to retrieve my bitlock recovery key and all I get is an image of a melting... in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I'm locked out of my brand new windows 11 laptop because it's asking for the BitLocker recovery key.     I'm trying to retrieve my bitlock recovery key and all I get is an image of a melting...


    I'm locked out of my brand new windows 11 laptop because it's asking for the BitLocker recovery key. It's supposed to be on my Microsoft account but when I go to that page instead of showing my key it shows me a picture of a melted popsicle and some Trace ID number. I've been trying to reach Microsoft forever and apparently there's no way to contact them live either through phone call or chat so I cannot get an answer of why I cannot retrieve my BitLocker number. I am trying to avoid having to reinstall Windows because I've got months of data that I would have to recreate if I did that

    BitLocker recovery key

    My computer is locked by BitLocker and the recovery key is not showing in the Microsoft account (the device is listed). How can I generate/retrieve the key (I don't have it stored anywhere)?
