Windows 10: Im trying to sign in to Microsoft Store and Apps but it just wont work.

After updating to the latest version of Windows 11 I have been unable to sign in to Microsoft store or any apps that are connected to Microsoft Store, in the store itself if I press sign in nothing happens, in Xbox it turns black and loads itself, but still not signed in, I am also unable to access settings that are related to Microsoft Accounts such as Emails & Accounts.

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

Update us with the result.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store
