Windows 10: I'm trying to sync my passwords to Edge but they aren't showing up.

To cut short a long story, I had a keyboard conundrum and it turned into an issues where I had to reset to computer to fix it, leading to, again, another conundrum, wherein I can't seem to get my passwords to show up on Edge and, while we're at it, Google Chrome, see?I can't go through the usual channels to fix it because I can't find the credentials folder, other than that I know there is one, instead, I get this error message:Any solution on how to fix it or where the Credentials folder in this scenario might be?Before y'all even say "Go to C:\Users\your-username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft"

That is not the point. Sync is built into Edge. They are supposed to sync across devices. All my bookmark and and reading list syncs. Just user names and passwords doesn't.

 

You can now sign-in and sync favorites with Microsoft Edge on Linux

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

To sync your password you may follow the steps below:

1. Open your Edge browser.
2. Click the (...) on the right side of the browser and then go to
   Settings.
3. Click View advanced settings.
4. Under Privacy and services turn on Offer to save password.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

It is already on, and has all my passwords.

And all my sync settings are both on, on PC and phone.
