Windows 10: Im unable to oppen settings due to administrator restrictions

So basically, I was gifted a Lenovo ThinkPad from a company I did work experience with, and I haven't been able to open settings due to administrator restrictions. I have tried updating drivers to see if that may aid the issue but to no avail, and I also have no access to control panel. Is there anything I could do? or would I have to contact the company over this matter? Thank you :

Unable to set restriction for local user in Windows 10

  How did you noticed that user is still able to access the drive?
  
• 
  Did you log into the local user account and check the permission?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below to restrict the user.

• In File Explorer, right click on the drive which you want to restrict.
• Click Properties.
• Click the Security tab.
• Click on Edit to change the permissions.
• Uncheck all the permission for system.
• Click OK and make sure the change is applied to all subfolders and files.

In Windows 10, i am unable to open settings and nothing happens when i click it. When i click battery settings from the tray, it displays

error message as "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions. Please contact system administrator."

 

Setting parental restrictions

My son has set himself as an administrator on his new Lenovo laptop. I want to set internet restrictions for him but unable because he is an administrator. Please help me to set parental restrictions.
