Windows 10: IM UPGRADING MY PC/MOTHERBOARD AND NEED HELP

So, i got a built pc maybe a year and a half ago but ive decided i want to upgrade my pc. Ive been behind on gaming equipment ect so im gonna buy a few stuff too help me be up to speed with more high-end gaming so i looked at my gpu and found out my motherboard is pcie 3.0 but the gpu i need is 4.0 as i looked into it i realised i had to change my motherboard but im a bit confused so i would like some help. I did research but didnt really answer my question so if i was to build my new motherboard i dont know if all my pc wires that i still use will connect back on because the only thing im rea

The only hardware changes that can negatively impact activation status once you upgrade to free version are the changes to the:

• CPU
• TPM
• Motherboard replacement

The following changes are examples of hardware changes that will NOT impact the activation status:

• HDD/SSD
• Video card
• Adding extra memory

As mentioned, any socket 1151 motherboard would work. However, due to the fact that 1151 socket motherboards are getting old, the prices are going through the roof.

I suggest you get a new motherboard, CPU and RAM. Something like this maybe...
