Windows 10: I'm using "Phone Link" and have a 4-person text feed, but it has split into 2 streams.

If I reply on either one, it shows up on the other, as does their replies. The only difference that I can see is the order of people is different on the 2 e.g., 123 on the first, 312 on the other. The 2 streams also appear on my android phone. I tried deleting 1 stream but it just started again from scratch. Any help resolving this?

Why does MS Phone Link show 2 people of texts?

My Android phone shows there is only one person in one of my text chains, but Phone Link shows there are two, but only one is named or identified. My other text threads appear correctly, but one chain in particular shows "2 people".

Edit (Correction): Now one of my other text chains show as there being two people in the conversation. What's different this time is that the first instance listed the original (intended) recipient, then a comma. This second chain shows a comma, then the intended recipient.

I tried deleting the text archive for that contact, then sending a text. Initially, it said it was going to one person, showed their avatar and their phone number. Then, the desktop app added an identical text going to "2 people", but it only showed the name and avatar for the original recipient. Though, in the list of text chains, the avatar was replaced with a two-headed generic.

When I restarted Phone Link, the original text was gone and there was only the "2 people" version.

Nothing on my phone indicates the texts are going to two people. It's only the Microsoft Phone Link desktop app.

Any help, remedies, suggestion or precautions would be welcome.

Need help with personal hotspot linking

I have cable broadband into my PC via Ethernet cable and all is good but ...... I have to endure a few weeks of faulty broadband feed while I wait for the suppliers to dig up the road and replace a faulty cable. During that time, whenever the broadband feed crashes, I want to keep the PC internet alive by somehow linking the PC to my iphone 14 personal hotspot. I have purchased a wi-fi USB dongle and after a bit of a battle, the PC now sees that and picks up the personal hotspot from my phone. It asks for a password, which is fine, but then it waits 15 seconds before coming up with an "Unable to connect to this network" warning. I can't see anything that is obviously wrong on either the phone or the PC so can anybody suggest what I am missing here ? [Windows 10, Version 22H2, OS Build 19045.3324]

Naw you dont need pipes or anything...



1. Add your feed in the web browser Go to Web feeds > Add new feed.



2. once the feed is added you should see it in the list 'widgets' for the home screen. SO if in step one you called your feed R2D2, then in step two you should see R2D2 in the home screen widget list (it won't be labeled 'feed' or anything obvious, just
the name you gave it).
