Windows 10: IME keyboard not showing kanji.

I installed Japanese Ime keyboard and it showes only hiragana and katakana but not kanji. For example when I write watashi


it does not show possibility to change to kanji . I tried to reinstall, but nothing changed.

Japanese IME kanji guessing

Whenever I use the Microsoft Japanese IME keyboard, it has a little text window where it offers suggestions for what kanji to use. I'd like to turn it off, because I need to study the words in hiragana. Any advice would be great.

I'm using Windows 10 Enterprise.

The language pack was installed with the keyboard when I installed it in the settings. I don't know if that answers your question, sorry.

It's the regular keyboard that you can install in the language settings. After I have switched to the Japanese keyboards it shows me a preview or selection of possible kanji for the word that I have typed. Pressing space converts it into Kanji (starting
from the top one in the list of possible kanji). I did not install anything beside the keyboard.

• Which Windows version and build is installed on your computer?
• Did you install the Japanese language pack from Windows Installer or at Microsoft.com?
• What is the application that you use that when you type a word, it shows the word in Kanji?
