Windows 10: Immediately accept PIN/password (no need to press any key first)

It is possible to make it so that when Windows has loaded or awoken from sleep, the PIN or password entry box is ready to accept entry of the PIN or password. I had this setting in place during my previous Windows installation but I cannot figure out how to do it again or what search string to use to find the instructions.

I believe it was called something unintuitive like disabling the log-in screen, even though the log-in screen is still there, and you're just disabling the full-screen pretty picture that you can have withouit the text entry field on top of it.

To clarify, I am not attempting to disable the log-in screen; at least not by my definition. I still want to use a PIN/password to control access to my PC.

Cannot unlock Phone with Simple PIN

Hi, I just got my shiny new HTC HD2 with windows mobile 6.5.

I thought it might be a great idea to password protect my phone, so I did.

I choose the simple PIN option, and locking it after 2 hours. I entered a 6digit pin as well, which the system accepted.

Now, I can't unlock the phone using the same PIN! Any help will be much appreciated.

P.S. I just read that the simple PIN is a 4 digit password. Trying the first 4 of 6 digits didn't work also. Hmmm...

Also, I'm pretty sure I didn't mistype the password, unless I mistype it twice while keying it in the "password" and "confirm password" field?

Another curious observation: The phone doesn't seem to accept my PIN tries all the time, sometimes there is a standard incorrect PIN message, sometimes nothing at all after keying in the supposed PIN and hitting the unlock icon.

Ok so I used to log in with a pin that disappeared and now I need to login with a password but it will not accept any passwords....
