Windows 10: Immense Users/Username file taking up 150G of my 250G hard drive.

The User/Username file on my C: drive is taking up 150G of a 240G drive on my Win 10 machine. . However, none of the subfolders are large, there is no AppData subfolder for me to look for Temp files. Any suggestions?

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.

I understand the inconvenience caused, now that you have me with you let me take care of this.

  Are you logged in as the administrator?
  

I suggest you to take full ownership of the files\folder and then try deleting.

Follow the steps below:

• Right click on the drive and select properties.
• In the properties window, click on the security tab.
  
• Click on the ‘advanced’ button and check the user name against ‘owner’.
• If a different username is displayed as the username, click change.
  
• Type your current username and click on ‘check names’.
• Click Ok and save changes.

Stored files in Hard Drive

You can use Windows search. Just search for *.* on a desired drive. When list is done just arrange them by size LOL.

You can do it via command line as well and make an output text file showing files and their sizes (but without arrangement)
