Windows 10: Impact the usability: The built-in calendar app for Windows 10 impacts the basic usability!!!

If the start and the end are both set to 11:59 PM on the same date, the second time view/edit the event they will be unexpectedly altered, where the start becomes 5:30 PM on that date, while the end becomes 11:01 AM on the next date that date + 1 day.


For example, I would like to create an event with the profiles below:

• Event name: DEADLINE%3A COVID-19 Data Analyses and Visioning
• Start: Friday, May 8, 2020, 11:59 PM
• End: Friday, May 8, 2020, 11:59 PM
• Description: · Subject applied%3A Python Programming and Its Applications\n· Send a carbon copy to Mr. Zhipeng Gao *** Email address is removed for privacy ***\n

The second time when I attempted to view/edit the event, once opening the event, it had been altered automatically becoming:

• Event name: DEADLINE%3A COVID-19 Data Analyses and Visioning
• Start: Friday, May 8, 2020, 5:30 PM
• End: Saturday, May 9, 2020, 11:01 AM
• Description: · Subject applied%3A Python Programming and Its Applications\n· Send a carbon copy to Mr. Zhipeng Gao *** Email address is removed for privacy ***\n

The current workaround is only to allow it to be set to:

• Start: May 8, 2020, 11:58 PM
• End: May 8, 2020, 11:58 PM

The version of the app: 16005.12824.41002.0

Basic usability

What year is it? Oh, 2018, right.

How long has Windows been in existence? Oh, almost 40 years.

Why does a brand new Windows 10 laptop take 5 minutes to get a login prompt to appear while on the screen lock page after pressing the power button to wake it up? Oh, Microsoft hasn't figured out how to wake up a computer and present a login prompt yet.

Why do I keep getting an hour glass with no login prompt and nothing running on the laptop to justify this behavior? Cause you still haven't nailed to basics on usability. Feel like tossing my $1000 laptop.

How is it possible that I can't wake up my laptop in 5 seconds?

I have the latest blazing intel chip, with a solid state drive and tons of available disk and RAM and NOTHING running on it.

Microsoft can't possibly survive when continuing to disappoint with such basic expectations from a laptop user.

Hi Guys

Okay tried everything U guys suggested, here is the result, each chip in all the slots shows 4gb in windows but togther in all combinations these 2 chips shows 8gb but only 3.42 usable in windows, still no luck, what do U guys suggest now?

 

Memory usable

The amount of usable memory are not exact amounts. Usable memory is a calculated amount of the total physical memory minus "hardware reserved" memory.

Suggest that you do an internet search for more details.
