Windows 10: Import Bookmarks/Favorites from Windows 11 Favorites Folder

Hello. Here's my situation:I have a friend with an old laptop running Windows 10 upgraded from 8.1 originally. The old laptop died and he just purchased a new one running 11. I am not able to start the old one do do anything, but I was able to recover his personal files manually from the drive and transfer them over. I want to add his old "Favorites" to his broswer on the new laptop. Since I can't start the old laptop, I am unable to export them to an HTML file. But the "Favorites" folder has been copied over in-tact and they are all there. He also never used OndDrive or Google, so they're n

Can't import bookmarks from my user favorites folder into firefox

First, convert the .URLs files to a bookmark html file. Use these steps:

Copy the contents of your Favorites folder (from backup) to:

Press WinKey + R, type iexplore.exe and press ENTER. This starts Internet Explorer.

Verify if favorites are shown under the Favorites menu in Internet Explorer. If you've copied them to the correct folder, then they should be displayed.

From the File menu, click Import and Export. Follow the on-screen instructions and create a bookmark.html file.

Import this file into Firefox using Firefox Bookmarks manager.

  Settings.
• Next, tap or click the Import favorites from another browser option.
• Additional web browser installed on the device will show up in the
  Import favorites list. Select the browsers from which you want to import from and tap or click the
  Import button

Unable to import favorites from Interner Explorer to edge in windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step1: Check Favorites folder in User profile.

  Open C: Drive.
  
• 
  Select User.
  
• 
  Select user profile.
  
• 
  Click on Favorites.
  
• 
  If you’re able to see the favorites list, then you will be able to import the Favorites from there.
  

Step 2: Import Favorites from folder or from browser.

• 
  Open the Microsoft EDGE browser.
  
• 
  Click on Favorites.
  
• 
  Select Favorites settings.
  
• 
  Click on Import.
