    Hi,
    Check this tool from windows Before you update ur computer to windows 10. If you face or faced any problems with the update try this also Before updating again. It worked Amazing for me.

    Just click fix me and then it will solve all problems that may stop your updating.
    There is a smiliar one for windows 8.1, just search for it.

    "Check your PC before upgrading" strange error

    I did an upgrade from 8.1. Everything worked fine! Windows stayed activated.

    I tried pretty much everything, reinstalled the update about 5 times and till ran into various errors. Furtest I got was the control panel giving me the "Check your PC before upgrading" message. The manual media tool didn't work for me either, giving me
    the error "Something happened" when I tried upgrading from that.

    But here's a handy tip I found in a forum that MIGHT help you - try changing your language region to English (United States) if it's not already. I just changed mine and the media creation tool seems to be updating... it's still downloading atm, but fingers
    crossed...
