Windows 10: Importing photos from Samsung galaxy

So my phone Samsung Galaxy S6 Dosent transfer photos and videos at all. I did the instructions and Still stuck on 0 i did all the things that i can and its still 0, Can someone help me?

A quick question before we proceed:

Are the photos and video saved to an internal memory or an external memory card?

I suggest you to connect the phone using the USB cable to check if that helps. You may follow the steps below.

•Plug the large end of the micro USB cable into your computer and the small end into the USB port on the top of your Samsung Galaxy phone. Wait for your computer to recognize the phone.

•Press the "Power" button on the top right side of your phone, briefly. Unlock the phone by dragging the padlock icon to the top of the screen.

•Drag the notification pane down by touching the top of the screen and dragging your finger to the bottom. Touch the "USB Connected" notification and then press the "Mount" button. Your phone's micro SD card will appear to your computer like an external drive.

Double-click the drive icon that corresponds to your
Samsung Galaxy phone. This will open a folder that shows the contents of your phone's micro SD card. You can copy files to and from the folder like you would any other folder on your computer.

•Click the "USB Device" icon in the task tray of your computer. Click "Eject USB Device." Wait until you're done transferring files before ejecting the phone from the computer.

•Unlock your phone and drag down the notification area. Tap the "USB Connected" notification and press "Disconnect." You can now safely unplug your phone.

If the pc is not recognizing any USB device then, I suggest you to install any pending updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer
works, or enhance your computing experience.

Importing photos from Samsung Galaxy

I have upgraded to windows 10 (free upgrade). I am trying to import photos and video recently taken, but after scanning I am receiving a message saying that there is no new photos found. The phone uses Kies to connect to the PC.

I have looked online at other solutions but none fit my issue.

Can anyone provide step by step instructions
