Windows 10: Importing video from sony handycam video camera

I am trying to import video from a sony handycam video camera with mini dv tapes. I have a surface pro 3 running windows 10 pro. I have plugged the video camera into my usb drive, but I cannot get the computer to detect the camera or upload any video. I am ultimately trying to transfer the video and burn it onto DVDs.

• Is this issue specific to Sony Handycam videos?
• Are you able to play other videos in your system?
• Did you try playing these videos in another Computer?

In order to update the video driver, I suggest you to follow the below steps.

a) Press Windows +X keys on the keyboard.

b) Select Device Manager.

c) Find and double-click on Display Adapter.

d) Below you find driver for Graphics, right-click and
Update driver software.

e) Follow the onscreen instructions to update the display drivers.

importing videos to my pc

I have a Sony 2000 digital 8 Handycam which I am attempting to import videos from it to my PC to no avail. I've tried using the camera disc ver. 1.5 for handycam, this didn't work, I keep getting an error code "182" unsupported.

What can I do to solve this problem.

When I upload videos from my sony handy cam, they are imported to Dropbox with sound only. how can I get video?

I have Windows 10, working on a Dell Inspiron all-in-one.
