Windows 10: Impossible restart after moving from hdd to ssd

Hello everyone,I have a msi notbook of 2016 with an hdd. I wanted to update windows from 1909 to 20H2 but I had no room left.So I moved the hdd windows disk on a ssd one with macrium reflet. It worked well on one of my older notebook but not here even with the hdd to ssd option checked.Now my PC can start but not restart. So I can't do any update because of restart fail the msi logo appear but not the moving wheel, just like it is stuck in the start process so I have to force it to shut down before doing a clean start. I checked the integrity, the microsoft update app and my drivers but no

Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

Hi

My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.

 

Moving my OS from HDD to SSD

Ok so in a nutshell,

1. Plug in SSD, mount it and move the Media Creation Tool onto that.

2. Restart, open BIOS and move the SSD to the first slot in Boot Order

3. Close BIOS, let computer restart and do a fresh install onto the SSD

So that installs the OS onto the SSD, after that, am I fine to reformat the HDD and delete the OS software on it?

 

Appdata Roaming move from SSD to HDD

Hi, recently bought a laptop with an ssd and a hdd. What i noticed was that every time i downloaded something, even though it was located in HDD, the SSD still took up space. I already moved the download, documents, etc. to the HDD.

Then i noticed that whatever i download gets into the appdata/roaming folder as well, so is it ok to move the Roaming folder from SSD to HDD?
