Windows 10: Impossible to execute an anterior version of WinPcap_4_1_3.exe on Windows 11

Hi,I can't launch the installation of WinCap, it tells me "A newer version of WinPcap internal version 5.1.79.117 is already installed on this machine. The installation will be aborted.". I uninstalled Npcap, tried to rename wpcap.dll wpcap.dll.old but it tells me that it's already running so i enabled S mode then network but it didn't work.I would be very glad if someone could help me.

Impossible to reinstall Internet Explorer 11

I have Windows 10 Pro v.1511 10586.36. Internet Explorer 11 has been wiped out. I need IE 11 for my work

Impossible to reinstall. Search "internet explorer" finds Edge, not IE.

IE appears nowhere in program lists; not even in "uninstall a program"

There are 2 inactive IE directories (without IE exe) in program files and in program files 86.

I cannot install the last full version of IE 11. Win 10 says: a more recent version (=Edge) is already installed on your computer.

Is there a solution to force Win 10 Pro to accept reinstall IE 11?

 

Is there a list of Windows executables which are signed?

Sample code is always welcome! In fact I was lookig for C++ sample a while ago and couldn't fidn it and then I lost interest. I wanted to write a program that would scan entire system for digital signatures but it turns out writing such a program would take months, while doing the same thing in PowerShell took me just 1 day to write a perfect script that does the same job, and it's prety much fast, 35 minutes to recurse into C:\Windows. *chuckle

Yes, Issue is you need to do this on fresh installed system, ex. in VM, so that a list is original, ex. malware didn't already replace some executables with unsigned version. Awesome suggestion, thanks!

sigverif is for drivers only and there is no commandline version unfotunatelly. But in PS it can be replaced with: Code:

And surpringly enough this code detects what sigverif does not. at least on my system it found 2 unsigned drivers while sigverif found none. Thank you all for suggestions, you're my heros, not it's time to write a script to build a list of defaults.

O should of dig some other entries then Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer in the Group Policies It seems one way to just bypass it:

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager > Add .EXE (and all the executables in general) to "Inclusion list for moderate risk file types"

does the trick pretty nicely..
