Windows 10: Impossible to install GIMP, downloaded directly or from MS Store. Getting "The app. was...

Hello.I cannot install GIMP on my new computer Win11, with the Install file either downloaded directly or from the MS Store. I get "The app. was unable to start correctly 0xc0000005".My feeling is that "something" forbids to install non-MS applications, although I stopped the "reputational" app. and the possibly-blocking features. I have a similar problem with McKiev's Family Tree Maker: latest FTM2019, impossible to install.Also tried the compatibility app. to emulate a previous version of Windows: no way.Should I revert to Win7? Can someone help?

Remove non-operable App downloaded from MS App Store, to remove Already Own

Remove App downloaded from Microsoft Store App Store because:

I mistakenly downloaded on PC (MS Surface). When I try to install the app on my phone, it says - already owned. But I cannot get access to, or install it, on the phone. I have tried all steps as suggested in link below.

I can hide the app in my account library on the pc but to no affect on the phone.

The app does not appear on either the PC Application list (in Settings), nor in the phone list of Apps.

I want to install the app on my phone.

Apps listed in the Store need to be approved by MS, otherwise you can download/install apps the same as you did on Windows 7. All "Metro" apps though must be installed by using the Store, afaik anyways.

 

W10 forcing me to use Microsoft Store to install printer app

That dropdown has 4 options for me, but not the one you said: "Disable app suggestions", "Show app suggestions", "Warn me before installing apps from outside the Store" and "Allow apps from the Store only". I had it set to "Show app suggestions". I tryed to change the option, but it makes no difference.

You can't download any .exe for the HP Smart unfortunately.
