Windows 10: impossible to resolve password problem

I can no longer take resetting my password and because I kept getting it wrong now that it is changed multiple times it doesn't allow me to type it in wrong even once before requiring it to be reset and between auto logins for saved passwords on countless sites and programs and multiple computers its now becoming a multiple times a day problem and I cannot keep remmebering new passwords. I need some sort of perminant fix on my account to hopefully reset to an old password and or at least take off the flag or whatever on my account that doesn't let me retry to type in if I get it wrong even onc

You can reset your password following the next steps:

• Reboot your computer / Turn your computer on.
• Hold down the Shift key at the start of the boot process to enable the GNU GRUB boot menu (if it does not show)
• Press ESC at the GNU GRUB prompt.
• Press e for edit.
• Use the Arrow keys to highlight the line that begins with kernel and press the e key.
• Go to the very end of the line and add rw init=/bin/bash
• Press Enter and then press b to boot your system.
• Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.
• Type in passwd yourusername
• Set your new password.
• Restart your system.
