Windows 10: Impossible Windows Defender Glitch

So, basically, I study for cyber security, and this means I constantly have Linux ISOs on my computer for virtual machine purposes.And I was running a WD scan just out of curiosity in case something slipped through. Mistakenly, it ended up flagging over 11 gigabytes from a 'Kali Linux' ISO cybersec Linux distro. Now it's stuck, infinitely loading in new "threats", unable to quarantine them because when I click on 'do the recommended actions' it glitches back to the initial state.Another big problem as well, is that it doesn't let me delete the ISO. Nor ignore the scan results all at once.I c

Windows Defender problem

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type services.msc.
• Right-click Windows Defender service and click
  Start.

Windows update and windows defender issues

We suggest you to avoid installing any cleaner or anti-virus software that may interrupt the function of Windows Defender. Make sure that Windows Defender is always on. To do this follow these steps:

• On the Start menu, type Windows Defender and hit enter.
  
• Click Settings.
  
• Turn Real-time protection on.

We also recommend you to install the latest update for Windows Defender.

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

• 
  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion
