Hello, Unfortunately even having a high speed network and WiFi which is in separate channel the performance of Miracast is very poor.I'd like to ask if I buy Microsoft dedicated device then I get some performance improvement? Is the inbuilt system Miracast on a typical laptop which supports WiFi cards at min level of 60 Mbit\s the same as the dedicated device? It is unbelievable how poor this technology is! You can't even connect it via infrastructure due to a lot of requirements on the way.

    :)

  2. miracast

    Hi there Alainpraet!

Step 1: If your TV comes with built-in Miracast support, then turn it On. ...

Step 2: Now on your Windows PC, navigate to Start -> Settings -> Devices -> Connected Devices.

Step 3: Click on 'Add a Device' and wait for the adapter to appear in the list.

    Now try to connect.

    Does Miracast support 4K?

    Hello,

We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
    by following the steps below:

    • Click Start, then go to Settings >
      Projecting to this PC
      .
    • Check if your device supports Miracast.

    Regards.

    Miracast

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below question.

    • How are you trying to use the Miracast in Windows 10?
    • Do you have the Miracast Device?
Miracast is a wireless technology your PC can use to project your screen to TVs, projectors, and streaming media players that also support Miracast. You can use this to share what you’re doing on your PC, present a slide show, or even play your favorite
    game on a larger screen.

However, if you upgraded your PC from an older version of Windows, you'll need to make sure your PC supports Miracast and is ready to project. Also, if the display you'll project to doesn’t support Miracast, you’ll need to set up the display by adding an
extra piece of hardware to it before you can start projecting.

I would suggest you to refer the below link and check if it helps you regarding the
    Miracast Device.

    Refer: Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter

Hope the information is helpful. Keep us posted to help you better.
