In entering password in logging in my MS account i cant type anything even using keyboard and on screen keyboard.My keyboard is fully working

Check this information:

To stop auto log in to your Windows 10 computer, you can follow the step-by-step guide as below. Please note that you must have all the information about the user account which you want to configure.

2. Tap on Windows key, type cmd.exe to load the Windows command prompt.

3. Type control userpassword2 and hit the enter key (Or you can type netplwiz which takes you to the same system tool).

4. The "User Accounts" window will appear:

Now select the user account from the list and enable "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option and click on Apply button.

6. You are prompted to enter the account password your Windows 10 will use to sign in.

7. That's it. Now you can login Windows 10 by entering password.

My 4 month old windows 10 HP laptop wouldn't boot up. I ended up taking it to repair shop. He needed the Bitlocker Drive Encryption, which I found on the MS website after logging into my MS account. He successfully entered that, but then got to
a screen that is asking for a password. I don't know what password it's looking for.

AFter entering the encryption key, a command prompt appears and says:

Enter the password for this account (Keyboard Layout US)

We tried my windows 10 password that I use if I don't use the fingerprint reader. That didn't work. Tried my MS account password and nonthing. Is there a way around this? Help!

 

Keyboard (physical & on-screen) not working on Microsoft Account log-in screen

I am unable to type in the user password when trying to to log into a new user account (account is an existing MS account, it's just new on this computer) pop-up, but I can type the user password into the local admin password field on the login. Unfortunately, I don't have an MS account already existing on this system to test whether it's specifically a "new" account problem, or any MS account. Also, the keyboard works fine once logged in (I am typing this on the admin account right now).



As stated in the title, it does the same thing whether I am using the physical keyboard or the On-screen keyboard (OSK). It seems like even though the cursor is focused on the MS Account password field, that the focus is elsewhere (I see the keystrokes flash on the OSK when I type on the physical keyboard, but nothing populates).





Here's a list of things I've already tried:

1. used another keyboard
   
2. used another USB port
   
3. unplugged all other USB devices
