Windows 10: In Font Maker, can I use my finger on the touch screen instead of a stylus?

I have just installed Microsoft Font Maker. I have the minimum OS and Architecture requirements. I have a touch screen. I do not know if the touch screen is "integrated."


I do not have a stylus and I will not buy a stylus. I have tried to use my finger to draw on the screen but nothing happens. I have tried to use the mouse to the same effect.


Is it possible to use my finger on the touchscreen or my mouse to draw letters in this app? If it is possible, why is it not working on my computer?

Can't use Microsoft Font Maker

I downloaded the app FONT MAKER but it doesn't seem to work, I cannot trace anything. I have a touch screen laptop and a regular touch stylus. Is there a solution for this or do I need a Bluetooth stylus? HELP please!!!

 

Touch screen reads stylus pen ok but reads finger opposite way vertically

Hello,

I have ASUS EP121 and upgrading to Windows 10 was ok. I don't think I have any other issues beside this terrible problem.

The touch screen reads stylus pen 100% ok, but it reads my finger opposite way vertically for instance, if I am touching the top, it points the bottom.

Horizontal touching is 100% ok.

Please advise how I can solve this problem.

What is the make and model of the external monitor and stylus?

I suggest you follow below methods and check if that helps.

Method 1:
Update touchscreen drivers for your computer. Refer the following article to

update touchscreen drivers.

Method 2: Reinstall touchscreen drivers. Follow the below steps to reinstall touchscreen drivers.

Steps:-

1. Select the search box in the taskbar, enter device manager, and then select
   Device Manager in the results.
2. Select the arrow to the left of Human Interface Devices.
3. Right-click HID-compliant touch screen, and then select
   Uninstall.
4. Restart your computer.
