I checked the link to the screenshot you provided here and it looks like you prefer OSD on Windows 10 over the volume OSD on Windows 11.

But I'm sorry, this is by design, and there are no visual options to change the volume OSD on Windows 11.

However, Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, the development team will review regularly, and every user's feedback may be noticed.

Please share the feedback link after submitting, I will vote for you. You can also share with your friends and family members, more votes will make the development team notice more quickly.

Perhaps in the future, Microsoft developers will allow users to customize the volume OSD on Windows 11.

Volume OSD not displaying

Whenever I'm playing something on another tab (music on youtube for example) and i use the keyboard to control the sound the volume OSD does not show up properly. It used to show what's playing, the sound, and the option to skip/rewind. Now it just shows me the volume on the bottom screen, that's it. This is what it used to look like. This is what it looks like now but with the volume number displayed. Is there any way to go back to the old display?

 

How to disable/configure volume OSD/overlay that pops up when volume is adjusted?

Try this app "3RVX", search it on the web, download and install to your windows 10, it's free.

Set hot keys, set your keyboard volume up key as "Increase volume" action; set your keyboard volume down key as "Decrease volume" action; set your keyboard mute key as "Mute" action, then, the "3RVX" will replace the volume OSD of windows 10.

You can change the skin, position, etc. of volume OSD, even hide it. Try it yourself.
