Windows 10: In my Microsoft edge properties I have noticed a strange number in Group or User Names

Can anyone explain what this number is that has appeared in my Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge Group or User Names Account Unknown S-1-5-21-3095462819-575819195-1738335527-1000I've been having issues with internet browsers not loading but when they do I get a white screen then it goes black and inactive. This happens whether it is Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge but both have this number in the Group or User Names.It seems this account has been allowed special permissions only but I'm not sure who or what it is.If anyone could enlighten me I'd be ever so grateful

How to Name or Rename Tab Group in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft has adopted the Chromium open source project in the development of Microsoft Edge on the desktop to create better web compatibility. This new Microsoft Edge runs on the same Chromium web engine as the Google Chrome browser, offering you best in class web compatibility and performance.

You can enable the Tab Groups experimental flag in Microsoft Edge to allow users to organize tabs into visually distinct groups, e.g. to separate tabs associated with different tasks.

Tab Groups includes the following features:

• Add tab to new or existing group
• Remove tab from group
• Name or rename group
• Open new tab in group
• Ungroup tabs in a group
• Close group to remove group and all added tabs

Properties>Security>Group or User Names panel - How do I enter a name in it?

All of the procedures you suggested were tried but did not work. I'll try to better describe the problem I have. Certain files (not all) cannot be deleted because the denial message says the permission must specifically be authorized by "HANKROGERSHOME\WilliamH".
That name is not in the Group or Users Names block of the properties>security>advanced dialog box. I tried to add that name to the users, but it shows up as "William H Rogers (****************)". Both name versions show up OK in the name check box, yet only
the latter is added to the Group or Users Names box.

As information, my System Details page shows the user/owner as HANKROGERSHOME\WilliamH. My computer profile page lists me as William H Rogers (****************).

Hope this added info helps to diagnose the problem.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
