Windows 10: In my windows 11 pc why the USB drive is showing as removable drive which wasn't showing...

In my windows 11 pc the drive was popping up a notification as usual and also popped up a notification of scan which is now, I have to perform manually and it's not showing automatically, and the drive is showing as removable drive! How to get back the old thing like the auto scan and all? please help!!

help. USB drive isn't assigned a drive letter.

Any usb flash drive I plug into my computer isn't assigned a drive letter. The physical drive shows in the "safely remove hardware" but it doesnt show up in disk management. I have tried to populate the volume thru the safely remove hardware properties window and it does pop up in the list but it doesn't stay there. This isn't a format or assign a letter problem. It's more complicated then that. Maybe one of the services needed for usb drive management was disabled? Suggestions needed. btw external usb harddrives work fine.

 

Internal Sata Drive shows up as removable drive

My Sata Storage drive on my P4P800 DLX sys. started showing up as a removable drive. I noticed the other day that it showed up as a removable usb device. Today the drive disappeared momentarily but then showed up as a usb device again.

Any ideas please? *Bang Head :banghead:
